The Old Firehouse Chopped Challenge!

Dear Cowichan Valley ~ We know you're having a hard time, but hopefully most of you are holding up and staying healthy. ❤️

Meanwhile, are you up for a little challenge? THE OLD FIREHOUSE CHOPPED CHALLENGE! As the cupboards get bare - whether due to finances or access to goods - making meals is getting a bit... weird (it is for us, anyway!). So we thought: why not ask YOU for your ideas on how to make deliciousness happen with limited options! 🍽️

Submissions (recipe and photos) can be received in the comments of THIS POST (or the related post at our Facebook page) till the end of April. After the challenge ends, we will put together all your recipes into an online cookbook to share freely.

Looking to add Excellent FT and PT Kitchen Staff

We are now accepting applications for kitchen team members, both part time and full time. The Old Firehouse Wine & Cocktail Bar is proud to run a scratch kitchen, where we aim to offer the best plates in the Cowichan Valley.   Our Instagram will give you an idea what we have to offer.

Salary is commensurate with experience, and all levels of experience are welcome to apply. A willingness to learn and work hard will ensure a great working relationship and hopefully a bright future!
